The Carnicom Institute requires public funding to complete the Morgellons Research Project that has been announced on this site. The funding will be used for a set of physiological and functional tests involving 24 individuals. This group will be divided into a control group and a test group, and a comparison between them will be made. All funds donated to this project will be devoted to specific and required testing procedures; all labor, technical expertise and time will be provided by the Institute staff at no charge. Participants in the study will be requested to pay for their own testing; subsidies may be available to all participating individuals through public donation. The combined cost of the independent laboratory testing is $166 per person, resulting in a total of $4000 to complete the testing for the entire group. The Carnicom Institute is conducting the study for the purpose of identifying measurable characteristics of the Morgellons condition. The study will involve the systematic collection of data from individuals who demonstrate physiological characteristics representative of the Morgellons condition. This data will be compared to a control group of essentially random individuals using the same physiological measurements to identify if significant differences exist between the two groups. Please support the Institute with your donations to this important project. Sincerely, Carnicom Institute _________________________________________
List of Independent Laboratory Tests to be Conducted:Blood Tests:CBC/D (Complete Blood Count with Differential) Red Blood Cell count screen for Anemia, dehydration, blood diseases White Blood Cell count screen for inflammation/infection: differentiate type of organism, intestinal parasites, allergies Biological Terrain Testing:Chem-Strip Urine Test – A multi-category test that easily and objectively detects organ stress, inflammation/infection, pH, specific gravity.
